About Us
With an emphasis on developing the fields of dentistry, the Department of Conservative Dentistry & Endodontics has been actively engaged in research and innovation. In pursuit of this goal, the department has submitted applications for a number of projects supported by the Student Start-up Innovation Policy (SSIP), Patents, and the Gujarat State Biotechnology Mission (GSBTM). The goal of these initiatives is to investigate novel materials, technologies, and methods that can enhance patient outcomes and quality of life. The department is pleased to announce that it has been the recipeint of3 SSIP projects, 6 patents, and 1 government grant totaling 20 lakh rupees. The department leads the way in conservative and endodontic care through research and innovation, giving faculty and students chances to advance their careers. Additionally, the Department has published more than 100 publications and ten books in the field of research.
Narsinhbhai Patel Dental College& Hospital’s Department of Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics has achieved a number of noteworthy milestones that show its dedication to quality instruction, research, and community involvement. One of its noteworthy achievements was organizing the GACDE Conclave-state conference on September 25, 2021, a premier gathering that brought together academics, professionals, and students from all over the state to exchange ideas, best practices, and knowledge in the fields of Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics.
The department has made a name for itself as a leading provider of continuing dental education through its CDE programs and practical workshops, offering postgraduate students, teachers, and practicing dentists a singular chance to advance their knowledge and abilities. Through lectures, hands-on guidance, and workshops led by well-known professionals, participants in this series can stay current on the newest methods, supplies, and innovations in Endodontics and Conservative dentistry.Over the years, the department has also mentored 8 PhD scholars.
The department has shown a significant dedication to community involvement in addition to its academic endeavors. In order to enhance the oral health and general well-being of the local population, the department has conducted a number of free treatment camps, screening camps, and awareness camps in neighboring communities as part of its outreach initiatives. In addition to benefiting the community, these programs have given both staff and students invaluable real-world experience.
By actively participating in a number of programs, the Department of Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics has further shown its ongoing commitment to professional excellence and social responsibility. Aiming to give needy patients specialized care and attention, initiatives like the World Endodontic Day Celebration on October 16, 2023, and other cultural day festivities often offer any therapy like Deaf & Dumb school in the nearby area/village and Old-age Homes. This event demonstrates the department’s commitment to meeting each person’s specific oral health needs.
All things considered, Narsinhbhai Patel Dental College’s Department of Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics has established itself as a pioneer in dental education and research by showcasing its commitment to professional growth, academic quality, and community involvement.

Advanced Dental Simulator
Department of Conservative Dentistry & Endodontics organized a Lecture for the benefit of Undergraduates, Interns and Postgraduate students of the institute to gain knowledge Dental Simulator. This Program was conducted on the 13/10/2023.The Resource person for this event was a well-known speaker Dr. Shanth Kumar from Sandor Medicaids Pvt. Ltd. Hyderabad.
The Lecture promoted the use of a Dental Simulator before starting any patients. This simulator included showing proper technique, results of the steps during the procedures, all procedure that can be done in the simulator,
Core Concepts In Endodontics
Department of Conservative Dentistry & Endodontics organized 5Day Lectures, Live Demonstration and Hands-on for the benefit of Undergraduates, Interns and Postgraduate students of the institute to gain knowledge about Core Concepts In Endodontics.

Latest Trends
This Program was conducted by Department of Conservative dentistry and Endodontics in collaboration with Gujarat Association of Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics (GACDE). It was organized with the aim to address the philosophy, knowledge and skills necessary for acquiring expertise to perform inlay and post and core. The main objective was to have all the experts of Endodontics including delegates and postgraduates under one roof for exchange of knowledge and expertise. Guest Lecture by renowned national speakers:Dr.K. Ramya( Assoc.Prof.), GSL Dental College and Hospital, Andhra Pradhesh,Dr.Kishan K. V., Prof, K M Shah Dental College and Hospital, Vadodra and Dr. Kunjal Mistry, Asst Professor, Faculty of Dental Science, Nadiad was also organized. Hands-on Workshop on Dynamic Navigation by Dr.Niraj Kinariwala was also planned to improve the clinical skills of postgraduates and abrief about the current advances in the field.
Research in Dentistry
Department of Oral & Maxillofacial Pathology and Oral Microbiology and Department of Conservative Dentistry & Endodontics jointly organized a career counseling event for the benefit of undergraduate and postgraduate students of the institute to take up Research as a career option. The topic for the expert session was “Research in Dentistry: Prospects and Scope” on 6th September 2022, 10:00 AM to 2:30 PM.

Rubber-dam Isolation Simplified
Department of Conservative Dentistry & Endodontics organized a Lecture, Live Demonstration and Hands-on for the benefit of Undergraduates, Interns and Postgraduate students of the institute to gain knowledge about Rubber Dam. The topic for the expert session was “Rubber Dam Isolation Simplified” on 28th April 2023, 10:00 AM to 2:30 PM.
