Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology & Oral Microbiology

  Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology & Oral Microbiology is the specialty of Dentistry that assesses the cause, behaviour, process and effects of the diseases affecting the Oral and Maxillofacial regions. This is essential for understanding the histological basis of various dental treatment procedures.

Department of Dental Anatomy and Dental Histology trains all the BDS students to gain knowledge of the normal anatomy, histology, physiology, and embryology of oral and paraoral structures.  We also confer the carving skills to the students on the morphology of all teeth and occlusion.

Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology & Oral Microbiology is concerned with the pathologies associated with hard and soft tissues of oral and paraoral structures. 

All PG students will be well trained in basic and advancements in oral & maxillofacial pathology and oral microbiology. They will get an opportunity to get accomplished with varieties of cases and handling of specialized microscopes and they will also be trained in research works.

  • The Department has state of the art equipment’s for histopathological, cytopathological, hematological & immunohistochemical evaluation of various oral pathologies.
