The central library, Narsinhbhai Patel Dental College & Hospital, Visnagar is one among major Dental subject libraries in the area of medical & paramedical. The library was established in 2006.
This fully computerized central library is built with a mission to provide reading material and service of the highest quality, to teach skills needed for academic inquiry and lifelong learning, to support faculty and postgraduate research, to support the creation and use of multimedia by students and faculty. A serene and peaceful ambience is always maintained which is, apt for studying. A good collection of print material is available, which include Books, Magazines, Periodicals and Scientific Journals, online E-resources” Dentistry & Oral Sciences Database” (having over 200 E-Journals, E-Magazine, E-Article over 3000 abstract and 31 E-Books). It caters to the needs of large group of users including students and faculties. In addition to this, all the Dental & Medical Departments have their own departmental libraries.
Service: The Circulation section remains open between 8.30 AM to 3.30 P.M. on Weekdays.
Reading Facilities
Reading facilities (Magazines and journals, newspapers, books etc.) are provided to the user from 08:30 am to 03:30 pm in the library premise. During the examination period library is kept open from 08:30 am to 06:00 pm. for the students.

PHOTOCOPYING: Photocopying facilities are also available at the library.
Library is situated on the second floor of the institute building and is well furnished having a capacity to accommodate around 300 students at a time. The library is well maintained with functional Air conditioner which provides a pleasing environment even during summer season.
Reference books are segregated in a separate section and is used for reference by faculties and students. The textbooks are segregated department-wise and are available to be issued for the benefit of the students. Separate set of books that are provided for the category students are also in hand which is issued on definite terms and conditions. A separate section is allotted for donated books by faculty and alumni and includes both reference and textbooks.
